An excellent set for building your watercolor palette, this set has all the essential colors for getting a start in watercolor painting, and includes 2 brushes, a mixing palette, and case! Two reds and two blues mix well with the yellow included to give you a full range of secondary in combination with the two greens that are included. These colors that can be further shaded or muted with Payne's Gray and earth tones. A tube of Chinese White can be used to add opacity to colors for painting on dark or tinted papers, or for adding special effects over dried watercolor.

This Set Includes:

Round Size 4 Brush
Size 4 is a great intermediate-size brush that allows for detail work as well as laying in mid-size areas of color. A round brush stroke is tapered and can create lines that are fine to thick.

1/4" Stroke Brush
Stroke brushes have long, rectangular ends that are primarily used for watercolor and ink applications, as well as for sign painting as they have a large color-carrying capacity and create long, fluid strokes. May be used to lay-in large areas of color, create detail, and for blending. Similar to flats, strokes tend to have a slightly more tapered end.

Watercolor Mixing Palette
This lightweight palette contains 12 small wells and 3 additional medium-sized wells for holding tubed color, mixing, and diluting color with water. A large single well on one side of the palette is excellent for creating washes. The bright white color allows artists to see the exact color they lay down on paper, and cleans easily with soap and water.

Brush and Palette Case
A black case provides an easy way to transport your brushes, paints, and palette. All pieces fit into the case and can be removed to set up your painting station.
