Cream is a light yellow with a red bias. It works well in gradients with Maize following as the lightest color and Dark Yellow or Cadmium Yellow preceding it as a deeper tone. Warm Gray 1 and 2 are options for creating light shadows around Cream, while Pale Sepia and Warm Gray 3 are handy for mid-tone shadows. The deeper colors in the Warm Gray range can offer options for further shadow work paired with this color. Because Cream is so light, it is also helpful for creating highlights for the other yellows in the warm yellow range such as Banana, Goldenrod, Cadmium Yellow, and Dark Yellow.
