A cool pink-red similar to the Alizarins. Quinacridone pigments were made available in 1958 as an alternative to the more fugitive Alizarins. This red is excellent for mixing with process-like colors including the lemon yellows, and Thalo and Manganese Blue Hue for bright secondary colors.
