One of the more colorful histories in art, Indian Yellow was once made from cow's urine. The story goes that cows in India were exclusively fed mango leaves: the cows' bright yellow urine was used to make bright yellow-orange paint colorants. Today, no urine is used in the creation of this color. Instead, we use modern yellow and orange pigments. Indian Yellow creates glowing transparent washes perfect for sun-lit scenes.
