A deep pinkish-red with a cool violet undertone. Perfect for florals and high-key paintings. Quinacridone pigments were made available in 1958 as an alternative to the more fugitive Alizarins. However, Quinacridone Rose and Alizarin Rose are very similar in appearance and both enjoy excellent lightfastness due to the fact they use the same quinacridone pigment. One of the most noticeable differences is that Quinacridone Rose is non-granulating. Pigments: PV19 Semi-staining, Non-granulating Lightfast Rating: I Excellent AP
