Pale Yellow is a light cool yellow with a slight green bias. Pale Yellow is clean and bright compared to its muted counterpoints in the warm-yellow range, Naples Yellow and Cream. It can be used to create bright highlights for Lemon Yellow, while Pale Sepia makes a saturated reflective mid-tone shadow. For more muted shadows, pair Pale Yellow with Warm Gray 1 to make light shadows with slight color reflection. For Mid-tone and Deep muted shadows, the Warm Grays from 3-87 are handy. Because Pale Yellow has a slight green bias, you can also use Dark Olive and Pale Olive as shadow colors.
