After 25 years in advertising, Carole Weitz returned to her design roots to create expressive, hand-crafted work through illustration, collage, and photography. Influenced by her father, a 1960s photographer and designer, her work is shaped by a Bauhaus-informed sensibility and a deep love of composition and storytelling. Carole’s pieces often explore themes of nature, identity, and instinct—brought to life through gouache, paper collage, and a bold, layered aesthetic. Her recurring motifs—florals in full bloom and cats with quiet attitude—reflect both joy and nuance, captured with clarity and emotion. This collection of visual images reflects the various themes and designs that influence my imagination.
Inspired by nature, florals have always been a great joy, as well as my affinity to cats and their behavior. While much work is created in watercolor and gouache, paper collage is another medium I enjoy.
