As a Canadian artist, I'm recognized for my lifelike portraits inspired by comic art. My passion for comic books, collecting, and their influence on contemporary pop culture shapes my work.

I explore the nostalgic connection that people have with childhood icons and their transition into adulthood. Through my art, I revisit memories of iconic superheroes and their impact on my life. Merging the world of fine art portraiture and contemporary comic illustration I draw realistic depictions of beloved characters using a diverse array of mediums including pencil, graphite & charcoal, coloured pencil and inks.

While my formal education in fine art provides a strong foundation, my expertise in realism and portraiture is largely self taught inspiring me to teach others that anyone can draw and anyone can learn realism drawing. In today's diverse pop culture landscape, comic books and their characters resonate with everyone. I want my artwork and the tools I use to resonate with everyone and anyone who wants to draw. I want my drawings to unite people from all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels.

Comic books are for everyone, art is for everyone and through it I aim to share the magic and inspiration they've brought me since childhood and to encourage someone to pick up a pencil and draw.

Polycolor blender pencils soften colored pencil edges and aid in blending and creating shadows. The blender pencil has a colorless 3.8mm core encased in California Cedar. California cedar is not only a renewable resource but is regarded as the best wood for pencils because it doesn't warp. Each core is perfectly centered in its casing for even sharpening, and glued throughout to prevent breakage. The end result is a water-resistant, non-toxic pencil that layers and blends beautifully without a waxy buildup.

Toison D’or pencils are the pinnacle of graphite drawing instruments. Encased in California cedar, they can be identified by their black laquer and cream, gold, and black bands. California cedar is one of the best woods for pencil making because it is a renewable resource that prevents warpage. The Hardtmuth leads are perfectly centered within the casing to ensure even, clean sharpening, and are glued throughout to prevent breakage. Premium Hardtmuth® graphite is combined with a select mixture of clays and high quality, proprietary binders to create an extra smooth drawing lead that doesn’t scratch or snag, regardless of degree.

Spectra AD® Markers are alcohol-based markers that are ideal for art and design projects. Spectra AD Markers are extremely versatile, featuring dual-ended tips with a flexible brush nib on one side and a unique tri-nib on the other. The AD Marker signature Tri-nib offers three line widths – fine, medium, and broad – with the twist of the wrist. The nibs are removable and replaceable, and the markers are refillable. Colors dry fast, are permanent, non-toxic, and are low odor.
