This color creates brilliant secondary colors when used as a mixture and works well as a glaze. Thalo® Red Rose is a popular cool red substitute for Alizarin Crimson in primary palettes when a brighter red is desired. This color is also known as Permanent Rose, Thalo is a trademarked name exclusive to Grumbacher.
