The Yamato Shinken Inkstone is an essential tool for use with the Kuretake Saiboku Shimbi Sumi Ink Sticks. This synthetic inkstone is double sided making it ideal for a wide variety of ink. The smooth side features a level grinding surface for stick inks and slopes gently to a well for washes and water. The alternate side has a well to house liquid ink and washes and risers to wipe one’s brush for the perfect amount of ink for the brush. Cleans with soap and water.
